the hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave

My first couchsurfing-host ever left me this beautiful reference, I can’t really describe how glad that made me feel <3 I just want to wrap my arms around every word, and hug them ’till I pass out on the floor. Oh, just look at them:

She is a traveler – not a tourist; and shows a sincere interest in the world around her. She is adventurous and independent, has a great sense of humour and an inspiring, positive outlook on life. It’s not surprising that so many Norwegians (and now a few South Africans) are following her around the world via her blog.

I enjoyed our trips around Cape Town, our chats about life and all the drinks we had together.

Marie, I hope to see you, and some fjords, in Norway one day :)

Thank you so much, Don, from the bottom of my heart! Some of my readers has already asked me if I could give them your CS-name, so if you want to feel some Norwegian superpowers again sometime – just let me know! Atm I’m on my way to Stellenbousch with my new host, hopefully he’s cool too. I don’t really know yet, ’cause this post is prewritten and posted with a timer. See you when I’m online again!

Sincerely mustaches,
Marie.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Fotodagbok fra i går / / Photo-diary from yesterday:

ph_priv

Isn’t it beautiful here? The mountain spellbounded me completely when the clouds painted it flame-red in the sunset, it nearly took my breath away! And still I have many days left to explore this beautiful country, my camera’s gonna explode!

paradiset slår sprekker

Hey!

Viser dere bilder senere. He-he-he. :—)))) Snakkes senere!

Hey! Wow, it’s so cool that so many of you want to recieve a postcard from me! I’ll try to send a card to one of my readers from every country I go to, so the 56 that don’t get one now will get the chance again. Smile!

I started my day with a run on the beach. Well, at least I tried. No matter how sexy that looks on film, it’s not sexy at all in real life. The wind was blowing the sand so hard against my legs – it felt like thousands of tiny knives cutting up my skin! I had to give up, and run along the busy freeway instead. So not sexy…

I spent yesterday with my first host again, Don. We had sushi for breakfast, went to Kirstenbosch, watched the sundown and I got to see Cape Town by night, with its thousand lights. So pretty! Looked like a sparkling blanket. I’ll show you pictures later. Today I’ve to pack my bag again, and hope for my next host to be as nice as my first one. Wish me luck! See you later!
